Hey everybody, welcome to another episode of the According to West Podcast. As always, we have uh D Law.

We have D Law apparently trying to be the undisputed champion of the world and Undisputed.

And um prior to getting on, I was uh mentioning to D Law that uh stuff is getting so out of hand as well as far as like cost and and the overall uh is it worth it uh to be doing certain things or to buy certain things, and I might have to start parroting uh music and movies and shit again. Like uh yo, I went to the grocer, me and my wife went to the grocery store yesterday, and we didn't even get a lot of shit.

And the bill was$125. Yeah, that's about a moment. Yeah, yeah, it's it's uh look it ain't my parents' time where they could that$125 came in with like 40 bags, it ain't that time no more. Oh, don't you miss that?

Shit was like full of hat pockets and the bags full of hot pockets and milk and Captain Crunch and shit. I'm like, yo, egg went down, yes, but like everything else is still a high shit for some reason, huh?

Because I ain't got no kids, it's just you and your wife. Yeah, think about it because now you gotta buy snacks, you gotta buy cereal if you eat it. Yeah, you gotta buy some sort of milk, whether it's almond milk or rice milk or whatever, you gotta buy something. Yeah, like no sir. I am but I spend make my wife spends about 200 at the grocery store. I spent about a hundred. It's 300, and we still gotta go every two weeks, and 300 back in the day. Oh, 300 back in the day was a month, exactly. If not a month and a half, look the amount of shit that you could have gotten with that 300, you would have had to take both cars, load them up, bring it home, find space to put a lot of that shit.

That's that old school. Um uh shopping at Sam's and uh yeah, like and getting and just loading everything the fuck up. And it's definitely not like that no more. Like the for the lack of better term or words, the meats is expensive as hell, man. Like, I'm like, yo. I don't I don't know what this summer is gonna look like as far as like uh grilling and shit.

I really don't know.

You don't know if you man, we grilling at some point. We're gonna grill, but it's just like the frequency, you know what I mean?

Oh yeah, nah. On COVID, I was grilling almost every week, wasn't I?

I know, yeah. I was just saying like almost every day.

You I was grilling a lot, I'll tell you that. Like every time we recorded back then in COVID time, I was grilling.

Shit, I got the uh I'm getting the um the patio just the way I like it. So uh right off the screen and porch. So yeah, yeah, yeah. Grilling all, we're gonna see. We're gonna see. Especially on them telework days. I'm already gonna have that shit like prepped and shit. So about three, four o'clock should be done by five.

You know what I mean?

I can just I can sit there and just sit outside and just you know, eat that with a you know, drink a me and my wife split a bottle of wine or something, like call it a night.

Yeah, I told my wife, I said when we grill, we're gonna be had to make it like an affair. Like, yeah, of course. We're gonna have to go outside, we're gonna have to like enjoy the air because like all that we could just cook on the inside of the house.

Nah, no, you keep the inside of the house as cool as you can. So that's air fryer and uh grilling, no stove top, anything, no oven, no nut. No oven, yeah, exactly. So I'm down for it. Shit.

Yeah, she was like, when we gonna grill again. I'm like, uh, we getting there.

She got a taste of that weather yesterday and was like, damn, it feels good out this bitch.

Yeah, she got oh, she got a little taste of it. She was like, Oh, like it's so warm. She was like, Let's go walking today.

This is a Saturday. I don't want to do that today. That was this morning. That's a little chilly outside. Like, um words, like, hold up, lady.

I should have gone walking yesterday. I ain't do not a lick of fucking nah. I was I was I was doing yard yard stuff anyway, so that was my workout. I'm still sore from that shit.

No, you'd be all right.

Yeah, true. That weather had me fucking feeling like it was one I had a three-day weekend for some reason. Not knowing that, oh shit, today today is the day, and I gotta go to work uh I gotta go to work uh on Monday. I'm like, man, what the fuck?

So I wish we had a three-day week, yeah.

I need that shit.

I need one of them right about now. But it's all good. Work has been uh work has been work.

But uh something got gear. Yeah, I can't compromise the food because I if I I if I literally eat uh like processed shit, my I might I feel the effects, so I cannot do that. That'd be the last thing I do. So it's gonna have to be other shit.

I might have to go out out here and start uh hitting the pole, man.

His Money Her Password Fears

Nah. A little bit of extra cash. They don't wanna see me on no pole. They do not want to see me. Uh question for you. Do you do you? I know the answer to this, I think. You don't you don't you don't uh you don't come uh consult your wife on all your purchases, do you?

Hell no. Unless it's something for the house or something I'm unsure about, then that's the only time you'll see me asking her like something. Other than I don't she don't consult me. Look, the amount of shoes that come in, look, it comes in on my Amazon, so I'm like, she just got paid. She just like on your uh your prime account, yeah. I had prime before we got married, so she was like, Oh, well, you know, I got my own, so I'll order this. You realize, well, why am I paying all this money for prime? And he got one. So why couldn't you just why couldn't you just disconnect yours? Nah. Because then that means she'll have see the thing is if I disconnect mine, if she decides to change her password because she's mad, I ain't got no access to it.

So why would she so would you do that to her?

No. So why would she do that to you? Because she's a woman.

I'm gonna tell you like this. If that ever happened to me, that that's yo, that once you all right, I see how we're going.

And she started like doing her, let's let's say I was on hers and I had one. Oh, I'm changing the password to my Amazon, so you're gonna need to get your own. That's all it would have been like, I'm disconnect you from this, disconnect you from this, just for us to still be together and then be like, okay, here's the password. So to avoid any of that, I just keep all my shit. I hear you, yeah. She she wanna she wanna spend her money and get her own, go for it. I ain't getting rid of what would it look like me getting rid of mine to join up with hers, knowing that she has the characteristics of women. When they get mad, they just be like, I changed the password. I had a girlfriend that did the same thing. She was like, she changed the password to her Netflix. Why'd she change the password to a Netflix? She changed the password to her Netflix. She I think she thought I was cheating on her.

She said, Oh, so her thing was to change the password to the Netflix. Was that the only thing she did?

Yeah, that was it. To the Netflix and whatever else she had that I was using. It was like, what did what happened?

She saw, so she saw uh she saw a text from somebody like, oh yeah, yeah, we should get lunch and catch up. Like, whatever. You know, you know how like everybody just throws out shit that they really not about. Not gonna do. Yeah, it's all right. We should get lunch, man. Just let me know when you're free. Oh, you should get some lunch sometime.

Yeah, all right, cool, yeah. I think every guy's gotten caught up like that. I've gotten caught up like that. Not even caught up because I I here's the crazy thing. Didn't even have any plans of like she's saying it. I'm like, yeah, sure. You just you just saying shit like this, some after uh high school shit. Uh you talk you 22, 23, you trying, you saying shit that you think adults say. I don't have no plans of seeing you, and you probably don't have no plans seeing me, right? Yeah, that's the that's to be the only time. Like I just felt like I should go through your phone. Like, you felt, and what did you see? Nothing, but I did see this girl wanting to blah blah blah blah blah. Did you already do that already in the night? I'm like, oh my gosh, man.

Yeah, she got mad, and I mean, like, was mad, changed, changed her stuff. We and we went out the very next day.

Yeah, that's the stupid shit. You will be mad at me, but I'm gonna spend my money on you while you're mad at me.

And she was like, Oh, yeah, I changed the password. I said, I couldn't get in a Netflix. Oh, yeah, I changed the password. I don't know if I'm gonna give it to you. I'll see how how things go before I get back to you. So that's why I learned real quick. Fuck that, bitch.

It is that man, I change the password. Yo, but let a guy do that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I changed the password. We see how things go. Oh, he's controlling. You should leave him. That is our first red flag he's gonna be controlling. I'm like, yeah, yeah.

That's why now see if you wanted to be petty, I was like, I just asked on. So she said she was talking about this show she was saying, so she let me bar. She she be mad as shit. Like, oh, so you want the girl that you yeah, because you go her network password.

Like when I told her, I mean, it's my boy's friend, but it's my my boy's sister. And I was like, Oh, yeah, I don't have ESPN to watch wrestling. I asked Cass if uh I could use hers. So, like, did you used to fuck Caz or something? No, Cass is my my boy's sister, I ain't fucking her, yeah. I mean, you just feel real comfortable texting her. Yes, I'm told her for like 15 years.

That's how kind of how like relationships work with people, like uh 15 years, that means we kind of grew up together and seen some things. That's my man's sister, so I'm not gonna cross that boundary. And yeah, it's a fucking password.

Only way you're crossing the boundary of doing something with your friend sister is if he openly says, Hey, you know, my sister kind of got crushed on you, and I think you'd be a good guy for her. That's not crossing the boundary.

Friends Sisters And Drunk Decisions

Like, yo, my man, my uh one of my homies, uh, he was saying basically his uh this mutual friend we got, same situation, mutual friend, not same situation, but this mutual friend we got, uh apparently um got drunk and his sister got drunk and ended up sleeping together, but they quote quote unquote didn't know what happened or whatever, and they couldn't get in contact with him. Like he was trying to duck everybody and stuff like that. She wasn't screaming nothing like crazy or anything like that, but just like she ain't mean to do it. Like it wasn't like forced or anything. That's what she said. So one day we helping his mom uh move some stuff out the house, and we seen his sister for the first time. He goes, Hey, it's only he was told to me talking about something, it's only right, man. Because did you see her ass? It's only right. I gotta repay the favor because he just fucked my sister. He just fucked my sister a couple months ago, and she right there. So I'm gonna be a with her number. I'm like, oh my gosh. I'm like, please don't do this.

Hey, you know what's funny? Um, D's sister, you know, she she's from overseas, and she was here visiting one time, and he never told me that she wasn't straight.

She never told me, so I'm sitting there just chopping it up with her, or whatever. I'm just saying, you know, we just chop, you know how like you start drinking and you start like it's like huh, yeah. So why kiss her, right? We we kiss. I was like, yeah.

She knows a real like a real kiss. Oh, geez. I was like, she's like, Oh, you know what? You know, in her little accent, uh, I think I'm a little drunk. I'm gonna I'm gonna go upstairs. I said, All right, all right, have fun. Yeah, it wasn't like when when uh when B's cousin came over and she said the same thing. I knew I wasn't following D sister up there. B's sister, she was cousin was like, if she said she's going upstairs, she was she's saying you come on too. I told D and the more, I was like, Yeah, you know, you just a kiss. He's like, really? That's weird. You know she's gay, right? I was like, you saw some feminine qualities in you then or maybe I see seen her uh her straight side.

You know what's crazy though?

Like I you know, people yeah, that's probably true too. I mean that goes the that that might be a clue to uh the whole thing of uh what people say, like it's not a uh what you say, it's not a it's a spectrum, it's not whatever they say. That it's you know, it's what you I don't know. Shit. I ain't about to get into those uh semantics, but I don't know if you if you drinking and that happens, then are you really truly that way? So I don't know. That's just that's that's just a thought. I don't know how that shit goes. You know what I mean? It's funny because I was um I was talking to one of my homies last night, we was playing Call of Duty and shit. We was talking about this guy that was uh somehow we got on um a topic of like somebody that they knew from uh his uh our previous one of our previous employ uh employers was a Trump supporter, and how uh that shit shocked one of my friends or whatever, because he was always like open-minded and stuff like that. And then he was saying like how you know he felt towards like uh people that were gay and stuff like that, and not wanting to be around them. Or so it was something like that. And I'm just like, yo, the only way you scared of a no, that's not what it was. We was talking about Shia LaBeouf, and he said ShylaBoff recently had made a statement saying, like, it's not that I don't like gay people, I'm just scared of them. Like when he was drunk in New Orleans and shit like that. I was like, how are you scared of them? I was like, yo, the only way you should be scared of a gay man or whatever, if you feel like you're gonna get tricked out your butthole. Now, if you get tricked out your butthole, you was gay. There's nothing, I'm not saying rape, definitely not saying that. I'm saying like he put he that person uh charmed you enough for you to be like, yeah, I've been over. That's crazy. Yeah, I I got hit with stuff like that too before. Like I was buying some stuff, it doesn't even matter. I was buying some stuff for the car. You could buy that, but this is this isn't that. I'm like, uh yo, I don't even buy shit for myself. You're looking at it that I bought something that wasn't clothes or shoes or whatever, whatever, whatever. And I don't buy those things for myself a lot. I bought something like my goals into a car.

Like if I was to buy something expensive, like an expensive bottle of liquor, oh, you can give that, but you can't get your hair cut, right? It's like what? That's crazy.

Household Skills Cooking And Respect

So you won't shave me. You won't shave me. Like, I don't want my hair cut. Right. That's crazy. That is crazy. All I'm saying is, if I gotta have soft skills, soft personal adult skills, so should you. I know how to change a tire, I know how to do this, I know how to do that, I know how to do this, and I know how to cook. I'm gonna need you at least meet me with the the cooking.

I'm not expecting you to change the tire and and you know, put gas in your car from which you've been stuff like that, and kill the bugs and shit like that. At least meet me halfway with the cooking. And I'm not saying you cook every day, I'm just saying like you know how to, you're gonna put forth some effort to be like, you know what? I'm gonna try to because that's all I'm doing is trying recipes out on fucking uh I was about to say Instagram. That too, Instagram and fucking uh Google. Yes, that's all I'm doing, and I'm following directions. And if you telling me you can't follow directions when it comes to food, you ain't gonna be able to follow directions, man.

They just lazy, they just lazy, that's all it is. It's it's like as soon as it's like, oh, I gotta cook, and that's my mom and them did. I don't want to be like that because this, that, and the other thing, it's like, well, damn, like I'm like, you're not your food gonna be better than this. So I ain't asking you to to to do all these things, I'm just saying, can you cook?

It's funny. We got an argument yesterday. She was like, I've been asking you when we're gonna clean the bathroom. Why are you asking me when we're gonna clean the bathrooms? Clean up, clean the big bathroom like you're supposed to, and I'll clean the small one. Well, I don't know why you didn't just clean yours yet. Because if I clean mine, you're gonna wait and wait and wait and wait. Then you're gonna end up cleaning both of them. It's gonna throw the whole schedule off. So I wait till you clean yours.

Look, because every look, it without Finn, when she hasn't cleaned the master bathroom, I can clean a small one down here where everybody uses. And I'll be sitting there chilling, waiting, waiting. One week go by, two weeks go by, three weeks by. She ain't clean her the bathroom supposed to clean. Then she, all right, let me clean the upstairs bathroom. She half ass do it. First, first off, she half-asses it. Then she'll come down and clean this one. Oh, yeah, I cleaned both bathrooms. Why? Why'd you clean both bathrooms? Well, because they both need to be clean.

Then you should have cleaned yours. So why you just ain't cleaning yours just because?

So that she don't throw the schedule off and forget what bathroom she gotta clean because her memory is shot.

Oh, that's stupid. Yo, just somebody just just stick to one bathroom. Nah, because she don't want to clean. Look, put it this way. Why y'all also before we even get on the why y'all alternating bathrooms? Bathroom is the bathroom. I understand y'all's bathroom might be bigger. Our bathroom, what does it matter? So our bathroom is bigger, but everyone uses the other one, so yours is the worst. Nah, ours is actually the cleanest. No, I mean, no, no. What I'm saying is yours is the worst to clean.

Well, this time around, yes, mine's was the worst. The one downstairs.

No, I'm talking about the one downstairs is always gonna be the worst to clean, is what I'm saying.

Well, yeah, well, she don't let a lot of people in here, and the only person that only use it is her and our son. I don't use that bathroom. One, the way his bathroom looks and how he pee all over the place. You think I'm using that toilet down there? Hell nah. So any the only time she ever complains about the bathroom not being clean is when she hasn't cleaned the master, when it's her turn to clean the master bathroom. And I'm like, it is, I mean, like clockwork.

So she complains about the downstairs bathroom not being clean only when she has to clean the master bathroom, yeah, but never when she has to clean the downstairs bathroom, right? Why is that?

All right, so this person needs some help. It needs some help, right? They want to know are they wrong for getting upset after their boyfriend purchased a car without telling her before you answer? Uh, one and a half months ago was her birthday, he passed the test. But except for this, he purchased a brand new car last week. It's great news, but the thing is, I absolutely had no idea about it. He shows me all the features and stuff like that, but I feel disrespected that he didn't communicate with me before such a big decision.
